Mr. Eric Escanes, guitar, bass

Eric studied guitar in Bordeaux, France from 2003 to 2005 with Christophe Maroye and Sylvain Fantino and toured throughout Europe.  He is versatile professional artist playing jazz, rock bossa nova, gypsy, and many other styles.  Eric is an active performer and studio musician.

 

Mr. Steve Parker, guitar, bass

Steve is an accomplished performer on guitarist and bassist.  He studied music at Broward County Community College and performed as a professional for over twenty years.  Steve joined the MUSICAMERICA teaching staff in 2003

 

Mr. Mauricio Espinosa, guitar (classical and rock)

Mauricio graduated with a degree in Music Education from the Universidad Industrial de Santander in Colombia after which he studied with master guitarist Mike Stern in New York and later with Leo Quintero.  He is a professional performer having played for the Latin Grammy's Marco Antonio.  Mr. Espinosa also in the music ministry at Sheridan Hills Christian Church and School.

 

Mr. Roscoe Peterson, guitar, bass, percussion

Mr. Peterson has been a professional musician for 28 years.  He has released two albums and served as studio artist on many diverse projects.  Roscoe plays and teaches guitar, bass and drum set at MUSICAMERICA following his family tradition where every living member is or has been a professional artist.

 

Mr. Armando Zuppa, banjo, guitar

Mr. Zuppa joins the MUSICAMERICA staff in 2007 after moving from Denver where he established his reputation as a premier banjo artist.  He received his formal training in Rome, Italy.  He has produced and recorded several albums and is an active performer as well as a dynamic teacher.

Mr. Frank Aloi, guitar, bassoon

Mr. Aloi received his formal training at Broward County Community College and teaches guitar in various styles in addition to having woodwind experience as a performer and educator.

Mr. Patricio Carrasco, guitar, studio engineer

Mr. Carraco attended Berkll College of Music studying performance and Full Sail University for Recording Technology.  Patricio, is an active performer and experienced guitar teacher .

Mr. Kevin Muncy, guitar, band instruments

Mr. Muncy received his degree in Music from Florida State University and is an active studio and classroom teacher.  Kevin is a member of Florida Bandmasters Association and the International Association of Jazz Educators.   Mr. Muncy's specialty instrument is the saxophone.

Ms. Yvette Fojo, piano and guitar

Mrs. Fojo earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Florida International University and teaches music in the public schools while maintaining an active private studio.  Yvette hold a Master of Science from Nova University speicalizing in instruction for children with learning disabilities. Her advnaced taining includes SUZUKI.  Ms. Fojo is a member of the Suzuki Association, Florida Music Educators Association, Music Educators National Conference and has earned National Board status.

Ms. Audrey Carballo, voice, piano

Audrey earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts (voice) and Music Education and a Master’s Degree in Music Education from Florida International University.  She is listed in Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities.  Ms. Carballo is a professional Alto soloist and choral conductor for synagogues in Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties.  Audrey Carballo has been teaching music for the Miami-Dade County Public Schools system in Elementary, Middle and Exceptional Student education for the past 25 years. 

Mr. Curt Abrahamson, voice, piano

Mr. Abrahamson, owner and director of MUSICAMERICA holds Bachelor and Masters degrees in music from the University of South Dakota, Vermillion.  He has performed and taught music South Dakota, Iowa, Texas, Kansas, Missouri, and Florida.  He served as State Charman for Music Educators and in addition to over twenty years of public school music teaching, Mr. Abrahamson was Coordinator of Music Instruction for the Kansas City Missouri School District and Regional Educational Director of MARS Music.  He is a fequent clinician and guest choral director and has performed as a soloist and in numerous opera and stage productions.

 

Ms. Marta Milosevic-Brankovic, voice, piano,

A graduate and teaching assistnat in Piano Performance in the studio of Professor Kenal Gekic, Ms. Milosevic received her Bachelors degree from the Faculty of Music Art in Belgrave where she majored in voice and piano. Marta received a Master of Music Degree from the University of Art in Serbia followed by further study at Roosevelt University in Chicago before completing a second Masters in Performance from Florida International University.  She is an internationally recognized concert pianist and has been teaching voice, piano, and music theory privately before joining the MUSICAMERICA staff in the summer of 2008.

 

Ms. Dana Hall,  voice, piano, flute, kindermusik

Dana received her BA in music from Temple University and moved to south Florida in 2007 after teaching music in public schools in Philadelphia.  She is an experienced performer and educator with certification in early childhood music.

Ms. Svitlana Maslova, piano

Receiving Deplomas in piano and music education from Perm State University in Russia, Ms. Maslova recently moved to Florida to continue her professional teaching career.  "Lana" taught piano privately for twelve years in Russia and for the last four years in Toranto, Canada where here students prepared for and won many awards in the Royal Conservatory of Music Examinations.

Ms. Anissimova has been teaching voice and piano since graduating from the State Conservatory of Music in Kazakistan in 2002.  She also studied music at the Almatry Music College. Yuliya is an active choral director as well as studio instructor.

Ms. Mirjana Petrovic, piano and voice

Ms. Petrovic has her Bachelors Degree iin Music Theory and Pedagogy from The Music Academy, Belgrade, Serbia and a Master of Music in composition from Florida International University.  Mirjana has received numerous scholarships and awards for her compositons.  She is an active performer, composer, and studio instructor for vocalists and pianists.

Mr. Randy Robins, drum set

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Randy has been studying and playing drums since the age of 5.  He joined his first band at 11 years old.  In high school he the drum captain of the marching band drum line and also played drum set in music lab and jazz rock school bands.  Mr Robins attended the University of Miami as a music major before turning professional. Randy has been teaching since 1990 and is a career drummer.  He is well versed in all styles of music and has a great passion for teaching.

Mr. Ortiz is well known as an exceptional percussionist and teacher.

   BAND AND ORCHESTRA

Mr. Donald Kneuer, band director, instrumental specialist

Mr. Kneuer earned a BA degree from Florida State University in 1971.  He is an active teacher in the Dade County Public Schools where he is a 34 year veteran.  In 1988 and again in 2004 Mr. Kneuer was selected teacher of the year.  He has performed with the 13th Army Band for 21 years and was active in Drum and Bugle Corps for 10 years.  Don brings experience and enthusiasm to his teaching which includes instruction on woodwinds, brass, beginning keyboard, and strings.

 

Mr. Luis Disla, woodwind specialist

Luis, a graduate of Berklee College of Music, is an active performing artist and educator.  He has taught music in the Broward County Schools and in Bronx, New York.  Mr. Disla is a BMI composer, a NARAS member and recording artist.  In addition to teaching flute, clarinet, and sax he teaches theory, composition and arranging.

 

Mr. Frank Aloi, guitar, bassoon

Mr. Aloi received his formal training at Broward County Community College and teaches guitar in various styles in addition to having woodwind experience as a performer and educator with saxophone and bassoon as his primary instruments.

Mr. David Mendoza, violin, viola, cello, piano

Mr. Mendoza holds degrees in music from Florida State University and Florida International University.  David is an active performing artist and experienced teacher.  A member of ASCAP, Mr. Mendoza is a successful composer and arranger.

Ms. Liubov Ohrimenco, violin

Ms. Ohrimenco is an active performing violinist, engaged by professional and community orchestras and opera companies throughout South Florida.  Liubov received her formal training at the Academy of Music, Theatre, and Fine Arts, and the Rachmaninov Music School in Chisinau, Moldova.  She also studied violin at the Accademia di Musica in Milan, Italy.
